This is not a physical garment or pattern and nothing will be mailed to you. The Whitney pattern is a faux wrap knit top designed to layer perfectly over your favorite sports bras. It features a deep front neckline finished with a clean neckband. Choose from two front hem options—straight or curved—both created with overlapping front bodices for a wrap look. The back is straight on all views, and the length hits at the high hip, making it not too cropped and not too long—perfect for pairing with high-waisted athletic bottoms. It includes three sleeve options: a tank finished with bands, a short sleeve, or a long sleeve with thumb holes. You can also choose between normal ties, wide ties, or no ties for a clean look. Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements): •Fits full bust sizes 30″-60″ or 76.2-153.4 cm •Fits natural waist sizes: 23″-57″ or 58.4-134.6 cm. •Fits hips sizes: 34″-64″ or 86.3-162.6 cm. Skill level: •Confident beginner – sewing the overlapping front pieces and adding the neckband will be the most difficult step for a new sewist. Suggested Fabrics: •Whitney is drafted for light to medium weight knits with at least 50% horizontal stretch, 40% vertical stretch, and good recovery. Ribbed knits, jersey knits, cotton lycra, bamboo lycra, athletic knits, modal, DBP, etc. Something with a softer drape and more vertical stretch, like a very light rayon spandex and some waffle knits tend to ‘grow’ with wear and feel looser/longer than the intended fit. You want something with good recovery for the neckband and tank bands. Something thicker with more spandex (10% spandex, thicker athletic knit or custom cotton lycra) will feel tighter.
