This is not a physical garment or pattern and nothing will be mailed to you. Ruthie is a knit pattern with SO many options. Choose from a keyhole style or center ruched style bodice. You can make a fitted lined crop or top length, perfect for pairing with shorts or skirts. It also includes a full circle skirt option, wonderful for twirling. Choose from a dress or midi length skirt. All skirts have a curved hemline in the front and back. Add optional inseam pockets to any skirt length. Ruthie is so cute dressed up or casually worn every day! It mashes with Kaia and Jade perfectly for more options! Youth Ruthie Features: •Made for knit fabrics. •2 lined bodice options: center ruched or keyhole. •The front and back necklines are scooped. •Choose from4 hemline options. •Fitted crop or top length. •Full circle skirt option includes a dress or midi length. Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements): •Fits sizes 1/2 (about 9-12 months) to 14. •Chest sizes 19″-32″ or 46.2-81.2 cm •Waist sizes 19.5″-28″ or 49.5-71.1 cm •Hip sizes 19.5″-34″ of 49.5-86.3 cm Skill level: •Confident beginner- stitching the ruched bodice casings and keyhole casing will be the most difficult step for a fresh beginner. Suggested Fabrics: •Drafted for light to medium weight knits with at least 50% horizontal and vertical stretch, good recovery, and nice drape. ITY, double brushed polyester, cotton spandex, modal, bamboo lycra, high quality ribbed knit, etc. Lighter weight knits without recovery, such as rayon spandex, tend to ‘grow with wear’ and will fit looser than intended. If using a thicker knit for the main bodice, I would suggest choosing something lighter weight for the lining, especially for the top length. Notions: •Optional- 1/2″ knit hem tape for hemming. •Optional – Fabric fuse/stitch witchery. •Basics: thread, pins or clips, scissors, ruler, hem gauge, and marking tool. Ball point, stretch, or jersey needle.
