Made for Mermaids Sewing Patterns are digital downloads. You will print OR project them at home, OR send them to a copy shop to print. This is not a physical garment or pattern, and nothing will be mailed to you. Marilyn is a classic glamour robe! It’s made for lightweight woven fabrics or 2-way stretch mesh with excellent drape. Choose from 3 different lengths, mini with ruffle, knee length (no ruffle), or maxi with ruffle. The shoulders are gathered on both the front and back. The front and hemlines are hemmed, and the back neckline is finished with bias. Choose from 3 different sleeve options. The sleeveless option has a drop shoulder. Sleeve A is a 1/2 circle with a rounded bell hemline. Sleeve B is a very dramatic high low 1/2 circle, intended for the knee or maxi lengths, on the mini, it will extend the hemline. Includes a sash and optional belt loops. Add marabou boa, lace, fringe, ruffles, or other trims to make it even more fun! Marilyn will be the dramatic robe perfect for your next photoshoot, bridal shower, maternity shoot, or wearing every day to feel amazing! Skill level: •Intermediate- Sewing delicate fabrics may be tricky.. Suggested Fabrics: •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. Choose a light weight woven or 2-way stretchmesh with excellent drape, such as chiffon, charmeuse, organza, georgette, silk, tulle, rayon challis, lace, satin, nylon chiffon, etc. Fabric that is stiff or too heavy will not lay properly. Notions: • 1/2″ single-fold bias tape •Optional trim- Marabou trim/feather boas (I would suggest no less than 20g.
