Resort Collection: Alani Set: Oversized Button Down & Flat Front Bottoms

Made for Mermaids Sewing Patterns are digital downloads. You will print OR project them at home, OR send them to a copy shop to print. This is not a physical garment or pattern and nothing will be mailed to you. Alani is the coordinating set you’ve been looking for! Both top and bottoms are designed for apparel woven fabrics with a nice drape. The top is an oversized dolman style. It has a collar and button-down placket. Choose from short sleeves, 3/4 sleeves, or a short sleeve with a sleeve tab. It’s perfect for tying, wearing open with your favorite tank, or wearing it buttoned up with a half tuck. The bottoms have a flat front elastic waistband with 3 casings for a shirred look. They have a straight-leg fit and include 6 inseam options. Choose from a basic short, angled short, 23” cropped, and 28”, 30” or 32” pants. Add an optional pocket to any length. These pair perfectly with the Alani top or your favorite tank or tee. Alani is great for vacations, over your swimsuit, worn together or separately, and can be dressed up or down! Skill level: •Intermediate- sewing with apparel wovens, sewing the button packet, and the collar with the collar stand may be difficult for a beginner. Suggested Fabrics: •Fabric content will affect the drape and fit. •Drapey apparel woven fabrics- cotton blends, voile, lawn, batiste, chambray, linen, double gauze, crinkle gauze, rayon, rayon challis, silk and silk blends, etc. •Fabrics with less drape and not intended for apparel, like quilting cotton, will fix boxy and are not suggested to use.
