The Youth June pattern is a knit top featuring a wide portrait neckline that is right on trend, with the back neckline dipping lower than the front. Youth June includes three length options—sports bra, crop, and top. The sports bra and shelf bra are finished with a fabric band. You can also leave the band off the shelf bra, add soft picot elastic instead, or fully line it. With three sleeve options—sleeveless, cap sleeve, and short sleeve—June is versatile enough for layering or wearing alone through all seasons. Designed to pair effortlessly with your favorite athletic skort, shorts, or casual bottoms, June is perfect for both activewear and every day outfits. Youth June Features: •Made for knit fabrics. •Athletic knit top with a wide portrait neckline. •The neckline is finished with either a shelf bra or lining. •Choose from a sports bra, crop, or top length. •The back neckline is wider and deeper than the front. •Choose from sleeveless, cap sleeve, or short sleeve. •The shelf and sports bra are finished with a fabric band. (See the video playlist HERE).   Sizes (includes both imperial and metric measurements): •Fits sizes 1/2 (about 9-12 months) to 14. •Chest sizes 19″-32″ or 46.2-81.2 cm •Waist sizes 19.5″-28″ or 49.5-71.1 cm •Height 29″-61″ or 73.6-154.9 cm Skill level: •Confident beginner – sewing athletic knits can be tricky. Adding the elastic to the seams and sewing the shelf bra will be the most difficult steps for a true beginner. Suggested Fabrics: •June is drafted for medium weight athletic knits with 4-way stretch, great recovery, and a minimum 50% horizontal stretch, and 50% vertical stretch. Look for high spandex content with a minimum of 5%. .Athletic knits (peached performance, nylon spandex, poly spandex, ribbed athletic, brushed athletic, etc.) Cotton lycra, DBP, or ribbed knit could be used for a causal look. I like to use the same fabric from my shelf bra/sports bra lining, but you could also use another similar weight athletic knit for the lining. You do not want to use a different weight or stretch fabric for the lining, it will not work well.
