Title: “Insignia Sandrartiana. Der Gemeinnützige.” Description: Very decorative copper engraved coat of arms of the Sandrart family. The noble family of Sandrart and the bourgeois Sandrart family trace their lineage back to a common ancestor. They originated in Hainaut (Wallonia) in the Netherlands, which was Spanish until 1713. As early as 1690, the two new citizens Würtz and Sandrart acquired the large electoral manufactory on what would later become Georgenplatz and established a highly successful tobacco manufactory there for decades. The coat of arms of the noble line is blazoned as follows : a chevron accompanied by 3 natural grapes, each with two leaves; on the helmet with mantling, a natural pelican sitting on its nest, feeding its young.
